At a doctor’s visit, several years after the doctors expected her to live Val asked “Did I pass my expiration date?”

Val’s lust for life and sense of humor certainly contributed to her miraculously long life with aggressive metastatic breast cancer, but a big piece of the equation is the many treatments she undertook. We believe the traditional and experimental treatments in medical and alternative traditions worked together to buy Val a lot of time, improve her quality of life, AND contribute to advances in treatment.

Val kept lists of the things she tried, but there were SO many that the list will not be not be complete. There were some wild ones! One of these days a list will make it on the site…
