A RARE INTERVIEW
Val was an extraordinary performer but she didn’t like being recorded. We all begged her to record her stories but that wasn’t her way.
These two clips from a 2012 video is a rare instance in which she indulged Emily’s request to talk about becoming and being Goo-See the Clown on camera (in her PJs, in the wee hours of the morning, with no preparation). The hope was to do many more conversations like this and to get into the therapeutic and educational work she did as a clown…we’ll have to rely on our memories for that and relish the snippets we did capture.
